MERIDIAN BUSINESS OWNER JAMES PETZKE RUNNING FOR STATE HOUSE SEAT 21A

I will be seeking the Republican nomination for the Idaho House of Representatives in District 21, which redistricting left with two open seats.

I have lived in Idaho since I was two years old, am a graduate of Boise State and Harvard Universities, and have been a successful small business owner in Ada County for the last ten years. I am running for the legislature because I have a desire to serve the community that has given me so much. Politics today is too often about creating division, and I hope that my campaign can instead be all about helping people.

My priorities if elected will be:

1. Helping the 170,000 small businesses in our state by ensuring that our free market economy continues to thrive. We need business-minded leaders now more than ever.
2. Getting education off the backburner and improving our public school system, particularly Pre-K through 12, for the sake of the future of our state.
3. Keeping Idaho home for all of us by managing growth responsibly, protecting constitutional rights and preserving our state’s rich bounty of public lands.

I am enormously grateful for the support I have already received from my family, friends, and community. I have a fantastic team around me, and we have developed a plan that I believe will put us in a position to win. I will be holding a campaign kickoff event in the coming weeks.
